About this course Back pain makes up 33% of all cases seen in in the clinic. It can present as the common low back pain, or the fairly frequent neck and shoulder pain seen largely in women with a Deficient Heart Qi. It can present as a slipped disk, or osteoarthritis, or back pain of occupational causes, or simply due to the degenerative changes of age. The course teaches a basic Elemental Pattern which applies to all cases of back pain no matter what the cause. In any case you see, establish this Pattern first, and then add the diagnostic variables particular to the case to complete the diagnosis. For instance you are seeing a case of neck and shoulder pain, first establish the basic Elemental Pattern, and the add the features of the neck and shoulder pain.
What is the benefit of the Elemental Pattern? It makes sure the diagnosis is correct even when there are multiple and confusing symptoms and a long complicated history. Then it tells you clearly which element is Deficient and needs to be reinforced, and which one is in Excess and needs to be depleted. Which of course leads to spectacular results.
