All courses are based on the 5 Element Pattern System, which is adapted from the 50th Difficu;t Issue in the Nan Ching Classic by Dr. Holmes Keikobad and refined over 30 years of practice. A Pattern is composed of 2 elements which are placed alternate to each other in the 5 Element Grid. Under harmonious curcumstance each controls the other and health results. Examples: Wood Controles Earth; Earth Controls Water and so on. When however the Controller becomes Yin Deficient, it changes and it becomes the Destroyer, so that when Liver Yin is Deficient it Destroys Earth and so on. When you see a chronic case with a bewildering array of symptoms, you identify the Victim, then work out the Destroyer. Treatment is then easy, just reinforce the Destroyer, and Harmonise Victim
